Education

With a multifaceted educational and professional background, I offer a distinctive combination of expertise. My academic journey began with various diplomas in business and early childhood education, followed by a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

My passion for learning propelled me further, leading me to acquire three Master’s degrees. I have a Master’s degree in Adult Education (conferred 2016), Early Childhood Studies (conferred 2018), and Counselling Psychology (to be conferred 2024).

Additionally, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO and maintain membership in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Experience

Throughout my career journey, I’ve navigated diverse roles, including working as an Infant and Child Developmental Consultant, Child and Youth Behaviour Specialist, Accessible Learning Officer, and College Professor. My experience as an educator, working closely with both young and mature college students, has deepened my understanding of challenges and transitions faced across various life stages.

In addition, my professional pursuit includes working within the children’s developmental sector. This experience has highlighted the profound impact of early intervention and the value of a supportive community in fostering child growth. Recognizing the importance of community and the value of service, I have actively volunteered within my local community.

My volunteer experience includes working as a Victim Crisis Responder for a local Police service. This experience has been both humbling and enlightening. Offering support to individuals in their darkest hours has sharpened my skills in empathetic listening and crisis intervention, reinforcing the foundational principles of therapeutic counselling.

Furthermore, yoga has been a transformative element in my life, offering not only physical benefits but also deep emotional and psychological insights. Thus, I have completed a comprehensive 500-hour yoga teacher certificate and I am currently finalizing a Yoga Therapy certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

Personal Life

In my personal life, I am fortunate to have two sets of twins and a loyal furry friend by my side. I truly value the time I spend with my family. I enjoy delving into a captivating book, and I relish leisurely car rides alongside my husband
